About Pointer in Fast CAT
Pointers — the original English Pointer — are sporting-group speed specialists with the lean, leggy build that translates directly into Fast CAT competitiveness.
Competitive Pointers run 28–32 MPH at the 1.0× handicap. The breed's leaderboard sits in the low 30s. Field-bred Pointers (the dominant population in performance events) are routinely the fastest sporting breed at most multi-breed trials.
The breed's hunting heritage is short-burst sprint with intense focus — exactly what Fast CAT rewards. Most Pointers chase the lure on their first exposure and reach competitive times within a season.
